1. Of radio or other telecommunication, a question of whether the receiver can hear and understand the transmission. Bob, you read me? What is the situation from your position? 2. By extension, a question of whether the listener understands what the speaker is saying or trying to convey. We need these delivered by 5 PM sharp, do you read me? Don't be late!
