Said as an aside to indicate that one can only speak on one's own behalf about an opinion he or she just spoke of. (Sometimes said ironically of rather obvious or generic opinions or sentiments.) I've never seen the appeal of leaving the comfort of your own home to go travelling abroad, but then that's just me. I don't know, I just think it's wrong to get a better grade because you're dealing pot to the teaching assistant on your course. But hey, that's just me!
