count up to something

 
1. to say or list the numbers from zero on up to a certain number. Can you count up to a million? I can count up to any number you name, and I will do it if you will stay around to listen.
2. to equal a specified total; to add up to something. That counts up to a lot. The money we earned today counts up to just enough to pay for the electricity we used today.
