earth mother
1. A female goddess of fertility. Since I still haven't gotten pregnant, I've started praying to an earth mother.
2. A particularly nurturing and/or fertile woman. My yoga teacher is so kind and warm—she's a real earth mother. My sister has five kids already, and now, she's pregnant again! She's practically an earth mother.
