get right with (someone)
get right with (someone)
To redress or atone for one's wrongdoings or transgressions against someone. I mistreated a lot of people at the height of my addiction, and I've been trying to get right with them ever since I got clean. You need to get right with God if you want to have any hope of getting into heaven.
