1. Obstinately willful; inflexibly determined to get one's way. I was always so headstrong as a kid. Sometimes I'd try to hold my breath until I passed out if my parents didn't give me what I wanted!
2. Of or resulting from rash obstinacy or recklessness. All it took was a few headstrong decisions by this administration to bring our entire economy to the brink of ruin.
