mope about (somewhere)

mope about (somewhere)

To spend or waste time (somewhere) in a brooding, listless state due to being upset, unhappy, dejected, etc. Primarily heard in UK. John's just been moping about the flat all day long ever since he lost his job. I know you're sad about being stood up by your date, but quit moping about and go do something with your evening!
