1. Fig. to get deeply involved with something. He distracted himself from his grief by pouring himself into his work. She poured herself into the project and got it done on time.

2. Fig. to fit oneself into clothing that is very tight. (Usually jocular.) Marilyn didn't put that dress on, she poured herself in! She looks as if she poured herself into those jeans.
