think positive

to be hopeful that good things will happen I try to think positive, so if something goes wrong, I try to fix it or, if I can't, I just forget it.

This expression comes from the psychological doctrine of positive thinking, which gained currency with Norman Vincent Peale's popular book, The Power of Positive Thinking (1953).
