Means "my grandmother" in Ojibwe. In Anishinaabe mythology this is the name of
Nanabozho's grandmother. It was used by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow for the grandmother of
Hiawatha in his poem 'The Song of Hiawatha' (1855).
